Step-by-Step Instructions
Forward your PIR email
Forward district response to your PIR to:

What emails to forward
Forward district response emails only - do not forward your original requests or clarification emails.
Note: Only emails from recognized Texas school districts or TEA will be accepted. The district must exist in our database.
District Responses Only
- • Acknowledgment emails from districts
- • Status updates from districts
- • Document delivery notifications
- • Final responses with requested documents
Do NOT Forward
- • Your original PIR requests
- • Follow-up emails you sent
- • Requests for clarification you sent
- • Any emails you initiated
- • FERPA protected information (student records, personal data)
Important: PIRs will be made public and searchable, and associated with your name.
Automatic processing
Our system will automatically:
- Identify the school district or TEA from the email content
- Extract the PIR subject and request details
- Categorize the request type (special education, financial, etc.)
- Create a PIR record in My PIRs
View in My PIRs
Once processed, you'll find your PIR request in My PIRs where you can:
Track status
Search history
Share publicly

Frequently Asked Questions
If the district email domain doesn't match any district in our database, the import will be rejected. We only accept emails from recognized Texas school districts and TEA. Please ensure the email is genuinely from a district's official domain. If you believe a legitimate district is missing from our database, please contact support.
Yes! You can forward multiple district response emails to import@unchalked.com and each one will be processed individually. Remember to only forward responses from districts, not your original requests.
Imported PIRs typically appear in My PIRs within a few minutes. Our system checks for new emails regularly and processes them automatically.
